Yasir Shah ruled out of boot-camp‏

Karachi: Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah has been ruled out of the ongoing fitness camp in Kakul due to knee injury. According to a statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Yasir Shah is suffering from tear in the lateral meniscus along with a small osteochondral defect.

“He (Yasir Shah) needs conservative management which includes physical therapy and extensive rehabilitation”, added the PCB statement

In view of the investigation the PCB medical panel hopes that Yasir Shah would recover in 4-5 weeks’ time.

This is pertinent to mention here that Yasir Shah was suspended for three months in December last year for mistakenly consuming a certain amount of banned drugs.

After the expiry of his suspension Yasir Shah took part in few matches of the recently concluded domestic one-day cup in Faisalabad.

Yasir Shah, 30, has played 12 Test matches from Pakistan, since his debut in 2014, and claimed 76 wickets.
