Waqar hopes good show from Pakistan

Karachi: Pakistan’s former head coach Waqar Younis believes recent back to back training regimes will bear fruits and the Pakistan team will do well on the English soil against the home team.

“Team Pakistan should do really well in UK, excellent preparation before the tour”, Waqar Younis wrote on Twitter

The former head coach referred to the camps in Kakool, Lahore and the one underway in Southhampton as good preparation before the tough series against the home side.

The PCB organised boot camp at Kakool military academy followed by a skill-camp in Lahore. Later on the team was sent to the U.K. earlier than scheduled to get acclimatised with the conditions.

The national team is holding a training camp in Southhampton before locking horns with the hosts in the first test match fromJuly 14th at the Lord’s.

Both the teams will play four tests, five one-dayers and a T20 game.

Pakistan will also play two ODI matches against Ireland in Ireland.
