Lahore: State Bank of Pakistan took charge of the Patron’s Trophy Grade II 2018-19 final on the very first day by amassing a first innings total 0f 392 for six in their allotted 83 overs against Higher Education Commission at the Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi on Thursday.
State Bank captain Saad Ali and Naved Yaseen scored centuries to help their team to their commanding total. Saad’s 105 came off 146 balls and included 10 fours and one six.
Naved remained unbeaten on 118, his 96-ball innings included 11 fours and six sixes. Sahibzada Farhan scored 90 off 95 balls with the help of 13 fours and one six. Mamoon Riaz with two wickets for 81 runs was the most successful HEC bowler.
At stumps on the first-day of the four-day final, HEC had reached 26 for no loss in five overs.
