Sri Lanka set precedent for other countries: Rumesh Ratnayake

KARACHI: The fast-bowling coach of Sri Lanka Rumesh Ratnayake said that Sri Lanka, after touring Pakistan for two separate series, has set a precedent for other cricketing nations to follow.

“We have been looked after really well and security arrangements have also been very good. I feel this tour of Sri Lanka should be a lead for other counties as well”, Rumesh Ratnayake said, while addressing a news conference here on Saturday.

The former paceman, who is discharging the responsibility of Sri Lanka’s bowling coach for this tour said that he had been coming to Pakistan since 1985 and came to Pakistan a few times even after the 2009 tragedy. He said Sri Lanka will tour Pakistan again.

“Sri Lanka took a decision and they have done it. if we are invited again, Sri Lanka will stour Pakistan again”, Rumesh Ratnayake concluded.
