Karachi: Former chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Shaharyar Muhammad Khan is all set to launch his new book, “Bhopal Vignettes” in India very soon.
Shaharyar, a former diplomat and foreign secretary, has penned down his experience about his birth city of Bhopal.
Talking to this correspondent, Shaharyar Khan said the book has no mention of cricket. “It has around fifteen stories, with pictures, about my birthplace (Bhopal, India) and my early days.
Most likely the launch, in India, will be held in November this year”, Shaharyar Khan said.
Shaharyar Khan was born in Bhopal in 1934. His mother was one of the three daughters of Bhopal’s last ruler, Nawab Hamidullah Khan.
“The book is related to the Nawab of Bhopal and his foreign visitors and his household things etc”, Shaharyar Khan added
On a question, Shaharyar Khan ruled out any possibility of a cricket-related discussion with relevant quarters during his upcoming India trip.
“No no, the upcoming [India] trip has nothing to do with cricketing matters, between Pakistan and India, at all”, the former PCB chairman concluded.
