Karachi: The talented young leg-spinner from Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane looks forward to leaving his stamp on the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The 18-year old, who is a hot commodity in T20 leagues around the world, has joined Lahore Qalandars and will soon be in action in the PSL-4.
Talking to this correspondent, the Nepali cricketer termed it a great opportunity to play in the PSL.
“It’s a great opportunity indeed. I am the first ever player from Nepal in this league (PSL) which itself is a big achievement for me”, Lamichhane said
Decoding his success mantra, the young leg-spinner said he keeps things simple and tries to hit the right areas on the pitch.
“I keep things simple and try to read the batsman to bowl in the right areas. This is the only thing I always follow”, Lamichhane, a fan of Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne, said
Lamichhane, who has been a part of Nepal’s national side for about three years, wants to see his National team play Test cricket.
“Playing for Nepal was my dream and so far the journey has been fantastic. We have a target to qualify for the World Cup in coming years. The Test status is also in sight of course”, Lamichhane concluded
Sandeep Lamichhane has played six ODIs and five T20i for Nepal. He has also been part of all the notable T20 competitions worldwide.
