Karachi: The rift between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and some members of the Board of Governors (BoG) has reached the parliamentary quarters as the National Assembly’s standing committee on inter-provincial coordination (IPC) has decided to look into the matter in the next meeting.
“Withholding of PCB decisions/actions against members of Board of Governors, PCB”, the subject of the letter, from the NA standing committee chairman, read.
As per the letter dated April 23rd, 2019, the members of the BoG approached the NA standing committee chairman with a request to withhold PCB actions against them.
“The matter is going to be discussed in the forthcoming standing committee meeting scheduled on May 6th, therefore, please uphold the decisions/actions taken against BoG members till the standing committee meeting”, the letter to PCB chairman Ehsan Mani further said.
During the last BoG meeting, five members went public against a few moves by the PCB including the appointment of Managing Director, Wasim Khan.
Subsequently, the Pakistan Cricket Board took action against those BoG members.
