Lahore: The Patron’s Trophy Grade II tournament started today at eight venues across the country. In Pool ‘A’ match between Haideri Traders and Omer Associates at the State Bank Ground in Karachi on Sunday, Haideri Traders after being put into bat were bowled out for 158 in 67.1 overs. For Haideri Traders, Muhammad Usman top-scored with 83-ball 34. Muhammad Irfan took four wickets for 39 for Omer Associates. Omer Associates at stumps were 81 for the loss of three wickets. Arsalan Bashir is 53 not out off 68 balls with seven fours and a six.
In another Pool ‘A’ match between Pakistan Navy and Civil Aviation Authority at the UBL Sports Complex in Karachi, Pakistan Navy were bowled out for 210 in 52.5 after being put into bat. Wasim Ahmed scored an unbeaten 86-ball 66 with 10 fours. For Civil Aviation Authority, Mirza Ahsan took six for 62. In reply, Civil Aviation Authority were 104 for two at stumps with Ashfaq Ahmed contributed with 49 not out off 73 balls.
In the first match of Pool (B) between Port Qasim and Candyland at the Rana Naveed Academy in Sheikhupura, Port Qasim after being put into bat were dismissed for 277 in 79.1 overs. Khurram Manzoor top-scored with 126-ball 67 with seven fours. For Candyland, Tayyab Riaz grabbed five wickets for 65. In reply, Candyland were 12 for the loss of one wicket at stumps.
In the second match of Pool (B) between Higher Education Commission and Ghani Glass at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, Higher Education Commission after being put into bat were 282 for five at stumps. Fahad Usman top-scored with 183-ball 107 with 14 fours.
In the first match of Pool (C) between State Bank of Pakistan and Pakistan Army at the Army Cricket Ground in Rawalpindi, State Bank of Pakistan were bowled out for 332 in 82.1 overs after being put into bat. For State Bank of Pakistan, Usman Salahuddin top-scored with 180-ball 97 with nine fours. For Pakistan Army, Hamza Khan took five for 84. In reply, Pakistan Army were 19 for the loss of two wickets at stumps.
In the second match of Pool (C) between Pakistan International Airline and Pakistan Air Force at Diamond Ground in Islamabad, Pakistan International Airline declared their first innings on 394 for six in 75. 2 overs after being out into bat. For Pakistan International Airline, Shehzar Muhammad scored 189-ball 157 with 21 fours. At stumps, Pakistan Air Force were 24 for no loss.
In the first match of Pool (D) between Pakistan Railways and Karachi Port Trust at the Railway Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan Railways after winning the toss and electing to bat first scored 406 for seven in 83 overs. For Pakistan Railways, Bilal Irshad top-scored with 176-ball 157 with 18 fours and a six. Karachi Port Trust were one for no wicket at stumps.
In the second match of Pool (D) between Sabir’s Poultry and K. Electric at LCCA ground in Lahore, Sabir’s Poultry were dismissed for 136 in 59.3 overs. For K. Electric, Sajid Khan took four wickets for 11. In reply, K. Electric were 18 for two wickets at stumps.
