Karachi: The meeting of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in Colombo, on Saturday, decided to shift the U19 Asia Cup to Malaysia.

The U19 Asia Cup was earlier scheduled in India in November this year.

Najam Sethi, the newly elected chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), termed the decision beneficial for the U19 tournament.

“It was a unanimous consensus decision in the interest of tournament”, Najam Sethi told this correspondent from Colombo.

This is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan cricket authorities earlier called for upcoming U19 Asia cup in India to be moved to a neutral venue, citing security fears in the South Asian country.
