Javed Miandad, former Pakistan Captain remained the backbone of the team’s batting line up for over two decades.
He was always praised for his acumen and street style of Cricket, taking regular singles to keep the scoreboard ticking.
MNJ Communications, leading advertising firm of the time, rolled out a series of commercials between the late 1970s and early 1980s featuring stars of Pakistan’s Cricketing squad namely Asif Iqbal, Zaheer Abbas, Majid Khan, Imran Khan and the spectacular Javed Miandad himself.
The films were written and directed by Javed Jabbar whilst Taher Memon representing Pakistan Tobacco was the Producer.
This particular film features Miandad in all his grit playing Cricket in England. The commercial was shot at Leeds during 1979 World Cup.
