Lahore: Crowd witnessed absolute carnage at the Gaddafi stadium here on Sunday as an unbeaten stand of 140 runs between Ben Dunk and captain Sohail Akhtar escorted Lahore Qalandars home against Karachi Kings.
The expression-less, Ben Dunk, who joined his captain Sohail Akhtar on 50/2, hit 12 sixes and three fours for his 40-ball 99* while Sohail Akhtar acted as a perfect foil for him with 46-ball 68*, studded with six fours and a couple of sixes.
Karachi bowlers have nothing to be proud of on the bowling chart. Umar Khan (1-37 in three) and Mohammad Amir (1-33 in four) are the successful bowlers.
Earlier, Karachi Kings, after losing Sharjeel Khan (5) early, make amend curtesy fluent not-out innings by Alex Hales (80 off 48 with six fours and five sixes).
Hales was ably supported by Walton (45 off 20) and Babar Azam (38 off 29).
Karachi posted 187 runs on the board in 20 overs.
With the triumph, Lahore Qalandars jumped to the fifth spot, pushing Quetta Gladiators to the bottom of the table
