BoG to approve next head coach: Shaharyar Khan
Karachi: The 40th meeting of the Board of Governors (BoG) of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is scheduled to be held in Lahore tomorrow and appointing the new head coach is amongst the items on the agenda.
There are local and foreign names, who have applied for the post, however, the chairman PCB, Shaharyar Khan has put the onus on the Board of Governors. “Yes, there are a number of candidates, both foreign and local and the BoG will choose the best possible individual after thorough deliberation”, said Shaharyar Khan while talking to “scoreline.org”
“The new head coach will be announced after the BoG meeting”, added Shaharyar Khan
The BoG meeting is scheduled to begin at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore around 11 am.
The agenda of the meeting also includes chairman’s report, cricket committee report, new initiative of game development, Pakistan Super League (PSL).
A source says that the department of game development will be separated from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and a powerful director would be appointed to look after NCA and regional academies.
There are also reports that reservations of the WAPDA representative, on recent appointments, would also be addressed during the meeting.
