ACB appoints Rahmatullah Qureishi as new CEO

KARACHI: The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) appointed Rahmatullah Qureishi as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) after a competitive process among candidates who were evaluated by the ACB Chairman Farhan Yusefzai and board members.

According to the ACB spokesperson Mr. Qureishi is an experienced administrator having extensive working background of more than 23 years with various multinational organisations such as the World Bank and the United Nations in the fields of Youth and Adolescent Development, M&E and project management.

“Rahmatullah Qureishi has represented Afghanistan at many global conferences and forums on the issues of youth and socio-economic development”, the ACB spokesperson Farid Hotak said.

Addressing the employees after his appointment, the ACB CEO expressed his pleasure on being associated with ACB. He expressed the optimism that the organisation would continue to achieve more in future.
 
“Our aim will be to further serve and develop the game of cricket in Afghanistan as it is a source of joy for our country and it gives hope to our countrymates.”, the CEO said
