KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket team is gearing up for the daunting England tour and after the boot-camp in Abbottabad, the players will be attending the skill-camp in Lahore from May 30th, however the arrival schedule of the head coach, of the team, is still unclear. A source privy to the development said Mickey Arthur is expected to obtain his passport in a couple of days and subsequently he will travel to Pakistan in due course. “Mickey Arthur has applied for the Australian citizenship and he is now waiting for his passport. We expect that he would get his travel documents in few days”, the source said “The Pakistan visa authorities, in Australia, have already been requested to facilitate Arthur upon his visit to the high commission for Pakistan visa”, source added “He (Mickey Arthur) is likely to join the skill-camp at least a couple of days before it concludes”, the source hoped
Pakistan national chief selector, Inzamam-ul-Haq, on Wednesday, announced names of 21 players for the skill camp, fromMay 30 till June 5, to finalise the Test squad against England.
This is pertinent to mention that due to the absence of the head coach, the appointment of team bowling coach is also pending.
