PCB turns down Shehzad’s plea

KARACHI: In an expected development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has turned down the request of Ahmed Shehzad to include him in the training camp for the England tour. “The authorities, after consultation with chief selector, Inzamam-ul-Haq dispatched a formal refusal to Ahmed Shehzad”, a source said

“Shehzad has been advised not to lose heart and continue working on his fitness”, source added

Earlier in a letter to the PCB, Ahmed Shehzad requested the authorities to include him in the training camp for the tour of England. The right-handed opener also assured that he would improve his discipline. http://scoreline.asia/dropped-shehzad-wants-to-join-camp/The fitness camp – boot-camp – is scheduled to begin in Abbottabad from May 14th.

Pakistan cricket team will arrive in England on June 29th to play four Tests, five ODIs and a T20 match against the hosts. In addition, two ODIs are scheduled against Ireland.
