ACB to give long term monthly support to deceased cricketer’s family

Karachi: In an unprecedented gesture, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has decided to provide long-term monthly support to the family of their late cricketer Najibullah Taraki, who was recently killed in a road accident.

Talking to this correspondent, the spokesperson of the ACB, Farid Hotak further said that Taraki’s brother would also be employed at the ACB.

“The leadership of Afghanistan Cricket Board decided after a joint meeting that a long-term monthly financial allowance will be provided to the late Najibullah Taraki’s family which includes his wife and children”, the ACB spokesperson Farid Hotak said

“In addition, Najibullah Taraki’s brother, who has a master’s degree, will be offered a job at the ACB”, the ACB spokesperson added.

Najibullah Taraki, who was hospitalised in Jalalabad City following a road accident, succumbed to his wounds earlier this month.

Tarakai, 29, was playing as top-order batsman for Afghanistan national cricket team as well as in domestic matches. He played 12 T20 international games and a solitary ODI match. He also played 24 first class matches, scoring 2030 runs with an average of 47.20.
