Lahore: The first semi-final of Patron’s Trophy Grade-II was held at the Pindi Stadium in Rawalpindi on Sunday between Sabir’s Poultry and Higher Education Commission. Sabir’s Poultry, after being put into bat were bowled out for 346 in 80.5 overs. Imran Nazir scored a century off 111 balls with 14 fours. He added 139 runs for the fifth wicket with Irfan Haider, who scored a 100-ball 65 with nine fours and a six. For Higher Education Commission, Bilal Anwar took three for 75 in his 22 overs. In reply, Higher Education Commission at stumps were 42 for one.
Meanwhile in the second semi-final between State Bank of Pakistan and Pakistan Navy at the Diamond Cricket Ground in Islamabad, fast bowlers Muhammad Ilyas took five for 29 and Taj Wali bagged four for 12 as Pakistan Navy, after being sent into bat were dismissed for 52 in 15.3 overs. In turn, State Bank of Pakistan at stumps were 436 for four in 69 overs. For State Bank of Pakistan, Sahibzada Farhan top-scored with 157 that came off 137 ball and included 22 fours and a six. Farhan put on 152 run-stand for the second wicket with Muhammad Nawaz (62). Syed Saad Ali also contributed with a 77 not out of 73 balls with six fours and two sixes.
